Heartland Central Europe is an initiative aimed at creating a platform for exchanging experiences and promoting knowledge about phenomena that threaten freedom and economic development. Hence the presence of guests from the United States, Great Britain, and Austria. As Heartland Institute President James Taylor emphasized in his speech, the organization’s goal is to disseminate true knowledge about issues such as climate, the use of various energy sources, and their impact on the environment.
The Heartland Institute Central Europe responds to the frequently voiced needs of conservative groups in our region and aims to be a platform for knowledge exchange and discussion about the future of Western civilization. For centuries, America and Europe have been leaders in progress and prosperity, the axis of the global economy, and a space of freedom. All these characteristics can be summarized in the American term “Heartland”, to which our organization’s name refers.
Among the speakers were also Lois Perry the Direktor of Heartland UK/EU, Luckas Brucker, Member of the Vienna City Parliament, Jerzy Kwaśniewski, attorney-at-law, founder and President of the Ordo Iuris Institute for Legal Culture, Tomasz Sakiewicz, Editor-in-Chief of Telewizja Republika, the biggest conservative TV station in Europe, Tomasz Obszański, Chairman of The Independent Farmers’ Trade Union “Solidarność” and advisor to the President of the Republic of Poland for Agricultural Affairs. The keynote speaker was Dr. Szymon Sikorski from the University of Agriculture in Kraków who spoke about the historical development of climate and adaptation as an appropriate strategy for responding to climate change.
The Heartland Institute is a conservative think tank founded in 1984 in Chicago. Its primary focus is economic freedom, building prosperity through free-market mechanisms, promoting realism and reliable knowledge in environmental protection, combating climate alarmism, and, more recently, defending sustainable agriculture as the foundation of freedom.
